Abstract
Na terenie COP istniały różne formy drobnej, tradycyjnej wytwórczości: chałupnictwo i przemysł ludowy. Stanowiły one niekiedy ważne źródło zarobków ludności wiejskiej, która nie zajmowała się w dostatecznym stopniu rolnictwem. W związku z rozbudową wielkiego przemysłu dalsze losy tych dwóch gałęzi wytwórczości nabrały nowego znaczenia. W przedkładanym artykule zaprezentowano przykładowe źródła, które mogą być wykorzystane do opisu postrzegania przez ówczesnych roli chałupnictwa i przemysłu ludowego dla rozwoju gospodarczego COP.In the Central Industrial District area there were many different forms of small traditional manufacture: cottage industry and folk industry. At times they were an important source of income of the local folk, who didn't spend enough time on agriculture per se. Due to the expansion of large industry the future of cottage industries became an important issue. This article discusses examples of sources which may be used to describe the role of indicated forms of manufacturing in the grand scheme of economical life in the Central Industrial District.
