Theoretical and Methodological Aspects of MOOCs. An Analysis of Selected Examples

Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the methods and models of functioning MOOCs and their importance in traditional education. To achieve the above objectives literature recorded in the selected databases was studied. The results were complemented by selected characteristics of the platforms developed according to uniform criteria. The discussion of the orientations of development MOOCs as alternative models of education was presented at the end.
