Naśladowca świętego Pawła w Związku Radzieckim

Abstract
SUMMARY Henryk Mosing (1910–1999), a renowned scholar, was an outstanding micro¬biologist of XX th century who contributed to the survival of dozens of thousands of people from typhus fever and other contagious diseases in the former Soviet Union. He simultaneously took holy orders in secret and for over thirty years served as a Roman Catholic priest making use of the opportunities provided by his professional job. Naming St Paul, the Apostle of the Nations, as his patron saint, he did his best to follow his example. He led his missionary-pastoral activity on the vast areas of the Soviet Union, a country based on the ideology of the crusading atheism. He often performed his service under the threat of death risking being arrested for a hostile activity towards the state, long imprisonment and even the most tragic consequences. Even though, he served tirelessly, with a great love towards a fellow man and for the glory of God.
