Abstract
W artykule zaprezentowano zastosowanie uogólnionej miary odległości ODM jako syntetycznego miernika rozwoju w metodach porządkowania liniowego. Scharakteryzowano uogólnioną miarę odległości oraz wskazano obszary jej zastosowań. W części empirycznej przedstawiono przykład zastosowania uogólnionej miary odległości GDM w rankingu wyższych uczelni w Polsce.The article contains the application of generalised distance measure GDM as synthetic measure in linear ordering methods. In the paper the following problems are discussed: the derivation of the generalised distance measure and the areas of applications of the distance. In addition, the empirical example of application of GDM to ranking of Polish universities is provided.
