In chapter one, the authors present transformative agreements in the context of Plan S; in chapter two, they outline the current state of negotiations and agreements between scientific institutions and publishers in various countries; in chapter three, they provide legal analysis of the agreements from the ESAC Transformative Agreement Registry. Chapter four consists of three case studies (Germany, Norway, Sweden); finally, chapter five is devoted to recommendations.

It consists of two main parts: an analysis of the legal framework and the presentation of the results of an empirical study (a survey and a qualitative study) conducted amongst the Polish academic community. In the appendix, a list of recommendations for the Polish academia is provided.

A Diagnosis" is to present a comprehensive overview of the current state of openness in Polish science. In chapter 1, the authors present the institutional context of Open Science in Poland. In chapter 2, they analyse its selected legal aspects. In chapter 3, the current e-infrastructure of Open Access is described. Chapter 4 summarizes the results of desk research and a survey of Polish scientific journals conducted for the purpose of the report, while chapter 5 is devoted to the survey involving Polish scientists. Chapter 6 is concerned with forms of Open Science other than Open Access and open data.

W części pierwszej autorzy zarysowują światowe i lokalne tło, zaś w części drugiej przedstawiają rekomendacje dotyczące najważniejszych aspektów wprowadzenia otwartego dostępu na poziomie instytucjonalnym: polityki otwartości i otwartego mandatu, działalności wydawniczej, repozytoriów instytucjonalnych oraz działań informacyjnych i komunikacyjnych.
