Abstract
The hyperelastic model of elastomers proposed in the first part of this paper has been applied to the analysis of local buckling of rubber cylinders. The elliptical and circular cross-section cylinders for the axi-symmetric, shell and 3D models of finite element mesh are discussed. The finite element program ABAQUS v. 5.8 with the Riks-Crisfield algorithm has been used. The considered cylinders are without any imperfections of shape and they are made of homogeneous rubber-like material, which is stable in the Drucker sense. Different types of deformations and local buckling of elastomer cylinders are observed.
