Abstract
"Gazeta Ostrzeszowska" was a daily which was published between 1919-1939 in the city Ostrzeszów in the south of Wielkopolska. (Wielkopolska is one of the 16 main regions in Poland). Its editor-in-chief was Marian Malinowski. In 1939 it described Polish- German relations. At first the staff didn’t believe that the war would start, but after some time they realized that it was very possible. The readers could find in this daily information about great political events as well as small border incidents. Thanks to that "Gazeta Ostrzeszowska" was an interesting source which presented the moods of the small community before the beginning of the Second World War.
