Źródła i przebieg kryzysu finansowego w Stanach Zjednoczonych i Europie Zachodniej
Abstract
W artykule wskazano przyczyny i przebieg kryzysu finansowego w Stanach Zjednoczonych i Europie Zachodniej ostatnich lat, uwzględniając zarazem jego implikacje w sferze realnej gospodarki. Analizie poddano analogie i rozbieżności w źródłach i przebiegu kryzysu w Stanach Zjednoczonych i Europie Zachodniej. Dowiedziono, iż kryzys w krajach zachodnioeuropejskich był w znacznej mierze spowodowany zawirowaniami amerykańskiej gospodarki, a kluczową rolę w jego rozprzestrzenianiu odegrały wewnętrzne czynniki charakterystyczne dla danego kraju. W niniejszej pracy podjęto próbę udowodnienia, iż podłoże obecnego kryzysu tkwi w agresywnej polityce neoliberalnej, charakteryzującej się marginalizacją roli państwa i jego regulacji w gospodarce narodowej, a także przeceniającej w sferze wartości znaczenie indywidualizmu przy jednoczesnym pomniejszaniu istoty społecznych aspektów gospodarowania.
Description
The article indicates the cause and course of the financial crisis in the United States and Western Europe in recent years, while taking into account its implications in the real economy. The similarities and differences in the sources and the course of the crisis in the United States and Western Europe were analyzed. It has been proven that the crisis in Western European countries was largely due to the turmoil of the U.S. economy and the key role in the spread of it was played by country-specific internal factors. The present study attempts to prove that the substrate current crisis lies in the aggressive neoliberal policies, characterized by the marginalization of the role of the state and its regulation in the national economy, as well as in the sphere of overestimating the importance of individualism while diminishing social aspects of management at the same time.
