dc.description.abstractThe article approaches videogames from the perspective of transmedia narratology. The first part raises the question whether videogames can be treated and analyzed as a medium with a narrative potential, referring briefly to the debate called „ludology vs. narratology”. The second part of the article concentrates on the concept of the storyworld and examines its usefulness in the context of selected videogame genres, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as a specific example. The final part enumerates the elements that contribute to the narrativity of videogames and points out the topics for further narratological investigations.pl_PL
