A monograph consists of two interrelated parts. The first of them gives an idea of modern structural materials and their main properties, and the second one contains information necessary for the practical manufacture of parts and assembly operations.
Part One "Materials Science", consists of 8 sections:
Section 1. "Structure, properties and methods of testing of metals" forms the basic concepts of metals and metal alloys, species and strains basic technological properties of metals and alloys, their mechanical testing, physical and chemical methods of analysis.
Chapter 2. "Iron-Carbon alloys", containing basic information on the theory of alloys, the data on the components and phases in iron alloys, the most common in modern engineering, explains diagram class "iron - carbon" effect of carbon and impurities on the structure and properties of steel, describes classification, labeling and use of carbon and alloy steels and castings, the basic requirements for carbon steels.
Chapter 3."Non-ferrous metals and their alloys," says alloys of copper, aluminium, magnesium, titanium alloys and antifriction materials, refractory metals and alloys.
Section 4. "Sucked Powder Materials", devoted to structural, instrumental and electrotechnical powder materials.
Chapter 5. "Nonmetallic construction materials" containing general information on the classification and properties of polymers, plastics, composite materials, rubber materials, adhesives and sealants.
Chapter 6. "Fundamentals of Nanotechnology", clarifies the basic concepts in the field of nanotechnology, says the classification of nanomaterials, gives an idea of clusters, fullerenes and fullerite, carbon nanotubes, the use of nanotechnology.
Chapter 7. "Nanocrystalline and Consolidated Materials," defines the basic concepts and tells about consolidated materials, the classification of methods for obtaining consolidated nanomaterials such as intense plastic deformation, compacting and sintering of powders, nanocrystalline structures on the basis of amorphous and rapidly-heated alloys, and the formation of nanostructure with dispersed secretions and nanocomposites.
Chapter 8. "Thermal and chemical-heat treatment of alloys", containing the basic theory of heat and chemical-heat treatment of steel, information about the technology of heat treatment.
The second part "Locksmith's right", consists of 6 sections:
Chapter 9. "Introduction to the profession" tells about the role of plumbing works in industrial production, types, workstation locksmith safety when performing plumbing work.
Chapter 10. "Standardization, interchangeability and technical measurements", forms the basic idea of standardization and foundations interchangeability, unified system of tolerances and landings ISO, surface roughness, tolerances of form and placement surfaces talks about methods of measurements and basic types of instrumentation, which is used by the locksmith.
Chapter 11. "Pre-treatment operations bench" contains information about marking, cutting, editing and bending metal.
Chapter 12. "Dimensional metalwork processing," says dusting of metal processing holes and threaded surfaces.
Chapter 13. "Transaction processing bench" describes the sawing and joining of parts, their shavering, clinging and proofing.
Section 14. "Drawing up of non-detachable joints", contains information on soldering, lamination, riveting of metals.
A monograph contains a list of recommended literature, a subject-matter index and a multilingual glossary of terminology.
