turystykę żeglarską i kajakową. W pracy zbadano hydrologiczne uwarunkowania rozwoju turystyki wodnej
kajakowych i żeglarskich.
(m.in. w ujściowym odcinku Warty). Surface waters are an important component of the geographical environment that underlie how leisure is
organised. Larger water bodies or their clusters have their impact on the formation of a microclimate of a given
region, and create a specific landscape. For these reasons nearly every water body may be included in the
definition of a leisure area. The prevalence of water basins constituting a component in a given area enhances the
area’s attractiveness development-wise. Whether surface waters are of any use in leisure or tourism or not
depends on a number of qualities: the area of water body, its physical and chemical properties (purity, clarity,
temperature), its depth, type of bottom and coastline the allow access to the water table.
Water places very high on the touristic offer of Lubuskie province. As such water can and should be used In
various ways: to begin with leisure tourism by waterside, through sailing and ending in kayaking. The goal of
this paper is to point out areas within the province which are best suited for rest and leisure and for adventure
water tourism (in salling boat and in kayak). Places have also been designated where access to rest and leisure as
well as development of adventure tourism might be obstructed due flood threats or poor water quality.
The primary sources and resources managed by KZGW (National Water Management Authority), chiefly maps
of flood hazards and maps of flood risks were reviewed. Data from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate concerning
the quality of bathing areas in Lubuskie province were also made use of.
