Wybrane aspekty europejskich podróży city break
Streszczenie
Europejskie podróże city break, tj. krótkotrwałe, najczęściej weekendowe wyjazdy do miast,
W niniejszym artykule
zaprezentowane zostały obecne trendy w turystyce city break na podstawie analizy ofert
wybranych podmiotów i touroperatorów. European city break travels, i.e. short-term, mostly weekend trips to cities, gained popularity
in the 90s of t he last century as a result of the development of low-cost airlines. Another
impulse affecting both the development of this branch of tourism and the market of budget
lines was the expansion of the European Union to the countries of Central and Eastern
Europe. Currently, city break travels are so popular that they significantly contribute to
overtourism in many cities. Tour operators are in turn competing in creating offers tailored
to the needs of the most demanding tourists, which means that the offers with the name of
city break have little to do with this f orm of travel. This article presents current trends in
city break tourism based on the analysis of offers of selected entities and tour operators.
