Atrakcyjność tanich linii lotniczych w zaspokajaniu popytu na polskim rynku usług turystycznych
Abstract
This article aims to identify the changes that have taken place in the Polish market of transport services after the entry of budget airlines. It also presents the dynamics of quantitative (number of flight connections), spatial and seasonal pattern in the flights network offered by Wizzair and Ryanair, the two major low-cost airlines in Poland. Research was carried out at Poznań Airport Ławica and concern the holiday tourist destinations between years 2005-2010. The results clearly indicate the preferences of tourists in the directions of travel and flight season, which in effect create the supply of budget airlines.
