The starting point of this study is to present the causes and consequences of the evolution of the significance of the Far North for contemporary international relations. In the next part, the steps taken by NATO regarding the Arctic geopolitical implications of climate change in recent years will be analysed. Then, the positions of the selected, mainly Arctic, members of the Alliance will be identified regarding their role in the Arctic. The study will finish with conclusions and an attempt to assess the possibility of changing NATO’s reconstructed approach towards the Far North.en
