dc.description.abstract | In response to the effects of the sun, the moon and planets of the solar system, the Earth's rotation axis changes its slope. This in turn impacts the speed of Earth's rotation. Each decrease in speed of rotation causes an increase in the number of earthquakes and vice versa. Increasing the speed of rotation causes reduction in the number of earthquakes. It is now possible to predict changes in Earth's rotation speed half-year in advance. This means that it is possible to predict periods of increases and decreases in the number of significant earthquakes on our planet. Therefore, we can predict with a 6 month advancement the periods of higher and lower seismic hazard in nuclear power plants. | pl |
