Abstract

The objective of this report is to analyse growth of transport infrastructure in Poland in 1997 by division into provinces. The analysis has considered six diagnostic features. The Author has applied the methods of synthetic indicator (Perkal's) and inductive classification (Ward's). He has found out a substantial differentiation of growth level for transport infrastructure in regional aspect and its condition has been affected the most by industrialisation and urbanisation. In structure of the transport network, however, the results of divisions from the time of Poland's partitions and the interwar period are still visible.
