Abstract

The plane states of stresses and strains in the anisotropic homogeneous slabs are considered. The problem of derivation of the directions of the field of the principal stresses and strains are discussed. The issue of finding of the principal stresses and strains is an algebraic one. But the problem of finding of the directions of the field of the principal stresses and strains requires the solution of the non-linear differential equations with initial conditions in a numerical way. We use the MATHEMATICA program for analyses of the anisotropic homogeneous slabs and plates.
