Uwarunkowania funkcjonowania systemów franczyzowych w handlu żywnością w Polsce

Abstract

Celem badań było przedstawienie na wybranych przykładach najważniejszych uwarunkowań ekonomiczno-organizacyjnych i prawnych funkcjonowania systemów franczyzowych, które są wykorzystywane do handlu żywnością w Polsce. Popularne w ostatniej dekadzie zawieranie umów franczyzowych przez sieci handlowe z polskimi detalistami zajmującymi się handlem żywnością stało się inspiracją do przeprowadzenia badań, których wyniki charakteryzują istniejący stan i przedstawiają uwarunkowania podejmowania działalności gospodarczej w tej formie. Praktycznym przykładem tego rodzaju działań jest funkcjonowanie polskich i zagranicznych sieci handlowych w ramach powiązań franczyzowych z firmą Carrefour Polska i Lewiatan Holding S. A.

The study was concerned with issues characterizing food trade, which is one of the most important in the structure of total trade. Franchise agreements, popular in the commercial networks of Polish food trade retailers in the last decade has become an inspiration for the test, the results of which characterized the status and present conditions of starting a business in this manner. The most significant example of this kind of activities are the activities of Polish and international food trade networks, operating through franchise with company Carrefour Poland and Leviathan Holding SA, which were the subject of the study. The main objective of this paper was to present the most important determinants of economic, organizational and legal operation of franchise systems that are used in the food trade based on selected examples. It was found that among the major constraints in the functioning of institutions on the basis of the franchise, the limited freedom of action is included and the need to adapt to the requirements of the franchisor, the determinants of choice of Carrefour Express store and Leviathan store were presented, as a place for nearby shopping, and the locations of Carrefour Express store and Leviathan store were evaluated according to the needs of their customers.
