Celem podjętych badań było określenie uwarunkowań aktywności turystyczno-rekreacyjnej kobiet. Główny problem badawczy zawarty został w pytaniu: Jakie czynniki decydują o podejmowaniu aktywności turystyczno-rekreacyjnej przez kobiety? Sformułowano następujące hipotezy:
1. Najważniejszymi czynnikami determinującymi podjęcie aktywności turystyczno- rekreacyjnej są: sytuacja materialna, czynniki społeczne oraz aspekty zdrowotne i estetyczne.
2. Głównymi barierami aktywności ruchowo-turystycznej są: warunki finansowe, czas wolny.
Przeprowadzone badania napawają optymizmem. Większa część badanych kobiet preferuje czynne formy spędzania czasu wolnego i przynajmniej 1-2 razy w tygodniu uczestniczy w zajęciach sportowo-rekreacyjnych. The objective of the undertaken survey was to define the factors determining women’s touristic and recreational activity. The main focus of the survey was formulated in the following question: What factors determine women’s touristic and recreational activity? The following hypotheses were formulated:
1. The most important factors determining women’s touristic and recreational activity include: financial situation, social factors, and health and aesthetic considerations.
2. The main impediments to touristic and recreational activity are: financial situation, lack of spare time.
The conducted survey inspires optimism, as the majority of survey participants show preference for spending their spare time in an active way and engage in sporting and recreational activities at least 1–2 times a week. Women’s primary motivation for engaging in physical activity is health. Women would like to devote more time to physical activity, but they are limited by lack of spare time and available funds. As the survey demonstrated, women’s age determines their selection of people with whom they are most willing to engage in physical activity. In the case of 35 years old and younger women, these are most frequently friends, while women over 35 tend to prefer their family members.
