Abstract
The book focuses on normative convergences and divergences within East Asia and between East Asia and the West on democratic and humanitarian institutions. The authors conducted comparative studies on issues of democracy and human rights in China, Japan, Taiwan and ASEAN countries, spanning both national and international levels. The book is addressed to both professionals and wider readership with interest in the development of democracy and human rights in East Asia.
