Metodyka wyliczania opłat za użytkowanie śródlądowych dróg wodnych w UE

Abstract

The article discusses the costs of inland waterways, which form the basis for charging users of the waterways. The contemporary classification of transport costs is given. The structure of private and social costs in inland shipping is clarified. The article then explains the concept of marginal costs in the inland shipping and provides for a simplified methodology to calculate them. It is given the scheme, which can be used to calculate both the infrastructure and external costs, i.e. accidents, pollution, noise and congestion costs. The article ends with conclusions regarding the variability of the cost and specifics of the Polish market.
