Level and significance of European Union means in the budgets of non-urban poviats (districts) of Pomeranian voivodship (province)

Abstract

One of the conditions for regional development is the existence of financial means that allow execution of tasks which determine regional development. Financial funds come from many different sources. Among them are means from the European Community budget, which are granted for a specific period, called programming period. Poland benefits from that support for the second time. The aim of the article is to analyse the scale and significance of financial funds granted to Polish self-government units in the previous programming period. The research was conducted in poviats (districts) and covered the area of Pomorskie voivodship (province).
